Paris Saint-Germain boasts one of football’s most promising young talents in Xavi Simons. With the UEFA Champions League exit marking the potential conclusion of the Kylian Mbappé era, fans eagerly anticipate Simons’ return from his loan spell at RB Leipzig.

However, with Simons taking the Bundesliga by storm as he’s made 42 appearances across all competitions while scoring nine goals and recording 15 assists, other top European clubs are keen on the 21-year-old.

CBS Sports reporter Jonathan Johnson spoke with CaughtOffside to discuss the Dutchman’s future. The player has been linked to clubs such as Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea and as the summer transfer window approaches, could they make an offer PSG cannot refuse.

“As much as Leipzig would want to keep him, I don’t see another full season loan in Germany so I think PSG will be very keen to get him involved in Enrique’s first-team squad next season,” Johnson told the outlet.

“It will be interesting to see if that’s what Enrique wants, but based on what he’s said publicly, he seems very keen on Simons’ profile. There’s been talk of potential offers from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona, but I think it would have to depend on the offer, because I don’t really see PSG doing business unless there’s an offer that’s deemed too good to turn down.”

A recent report from BILD reveals that Simons could be available on the transfer market this summer for €60 million. It will take a significant amount of money to let Simons go as he should be one of the faces at PSG in the post-Mbappé era.
